Merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair: you’ve chosen one of our prettiest and most precious knitted fabrics. Here’s our best advice on caring for your garment so that it always looks as good as new.
Handwashing in cold water :
To avoid shrinking, you must wash your jumper gently by hand in cold water without leaving it to soak for too long and with very little detergent so as not to damage the colours.
Don’t dry your garment in a tumble dryer. Wring the garment by hand, gently! ;-)
Don’t even think about using a coathanger; it’s best to dry the garment on a towel so as not to damage the fabric.
No need to iron it vigorously - you could end up damaging the fabric, felting your garment. Iron it gently with a slightly damp cloth between your iron and your jumper.
It’s normal for a newly-bought knitted item to shed a little. Don’t worry: experience shows that the fabric looks even better after a few washes.
