Now here’s a place that doesn't take your kids for noodleheads! In the heart of Shoreditch, Bao Noodle Shop has thought of everything when it comes to eating out with kids. The menu? Can be colored in to help the kiddos pass the time. The dishes? Between the noodle soup and the baby bao, they would make even the most demanding parents green with envy. The drinks? Only the very good stuff, like bubble tea or peanut milk. The icing on the Bao: the special kids’ nights and the overflowing goodie bags.

CHATSWORTH BAKEHOUSE
Between museum visits, run to Chatsworth Bakehouse, a bakery as small as it is cute. There isn’t any seating, just take-away options that you won’t waste time deliberating over: maritozzi, peach and raspberry crumble tart, salted chocolate brownies... At lunch, jump on their “grandma-style” pizza slices, or gobble up their famous sandwiches stuffed with smoked ham, whipped garlic butter, shoe-string potatoes, and frisée salad. For some Italian eats, head to Scotti’s Snack Bar, a café founded in 1967 in Clerkenwell, the neighborhood that used to be London’s Little Italy. The Formica tables and the small terrace see curious passers-by and regulars alike, who swing by from the break of dawn until mid-afternoon. The must-try?
