How can I find out more about how Sézane and Octobre Éditions pieces are made?

The majority of our designs, more than two-thirds, are made in Europe. The rest are crafted around the world, where we work with exceptional expertise: for example, silk and prints from China, and embroidery from India.

We prioritize production in Europe, where we benefit from renowned savoir-faire: leather goods from Portugal, leather and knitwear from Italy, and woven fabrics from Bulgaria.

The remaining third of our production is carried out internationally, depending on the availability of raw materials, specialist skills, and production capacities. Partnering with compliant factories is essential to us, particularly to ensure fair working conditions.

We carefully select our factories based on their social standards. Protecting the wellbeing of factory employees is one of our core commitments. All our partners sign a Code of Ethics, and independent experts regularly audit our factories (following BSCI, SEDEX, WCA, or ICS standards) to ensure good working conditions.

In line with the French AGEC anti-waste law, you can find information about an item’s place of production, dyeing, and weaving on its product page, under the section dedicated to its environmental qualities and characteristics.
